Eligibility criteria
Applications can be submitted by international students
- who are in the final stage of their degree programme, specifically the last two semesters (extension possible in exceptional cases) or
- who demonstrate outstanding commitment in their degree program, at their university/in their community, or
- who complete their studies within the standard period of study and have fallen into financial hardship through no fault of their own.
Academic performance is a key criterion for awarding the Saarland Scholarships.In addition to academic achievements, the applicant’s family and personal background are also taken into account.Social engagement may be positively considered in the selection process.
