The Saarland University (UdS), with the support of the StudienStiftungSaar, awards Deutschlandstipendien. Through the federal funding programme of the Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space, the scholarship is funded equally by the federal government and private patrons.

The scholarship includes:

• Financial support: €300 per month (for two semesters)
• Non-financial support: Personal development, career preparation, networking, and more
• Access to a network of students, companies, institutions, and universities, including a meet-and-greet with the scholarship patrons

Important notes:

• You must be enrolled at UdS for the entire funding period (October 2026 to September 2027).
• The scholarship is independent of assets and income, is not counted against BAföG (student financial aid), and does not need to be repaid.
• Academic achievement is the primary criterion for selection. Family/personal background and community involvement are also taken into consideration.
• There is no legal entitlement to receive funding.

• Proof of general or subject-specific university entrance qualification, master craftsman/specialist business administrator certificate, technical college diploma, or vocational further education certificate (mandatory)
• Current academic transcript (mandatory – not required if studies begin in October and no academic records are available yet)
• Proof of your voluntary (social) commitments / work – if applicable
